Rescue Gang is a non-profit dog rescue in the Milwaukee area that focuses on saving dogs from overcrowded shelters and euthanasia lists. Rescue Gang helps by providing foster care, medical treatments, and adoption services. We operate through a network of foster homes and volunteers, offering a second chance for dogs in need. Rescue Gang also runs community outreach programs like a mobile pet food pantry, spay and neuter programs, Toys for Tots, helping Hunger Task Force, and * new * for 2026, low cost vaccine clinics.

WAAGR's mission is to provide bright new beginnings to displaced Golden Retrievers and Golden Retriever mixes. Wisconsin Adopt a Golden Retriever is an all volunteer/member Golden Retriever rescue organization serving the state of Wisconsin and parts of Illinois. WAAGR was established in September 2004 and was given 501(c)(3) status in February 2005. Our first dog was rescued in May of 2005.

WAAGR has no paid staff and depends on the generosity of individuals that want to help provide a safe and happy life for Golden Retrievers that for whatever reason have lost their homes. Our volunteers/members do what needs to be done to help these kind and loving animals find the perfect home. It is our belief that education and staying involved in our communities is the key to great placements in great forever homes.

Tailwaggers 911 Dog Rescue (TW 911), is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in October of 2007. Simply put, we are a bunch fun-loving people who happen to love dogs with a passion. We rescue, foster, nurture and rehome dogs that come from the most deplorable situations. We give dogs hope: hope for love, hope for security, and hope for a lifelong home; hence, our motto: “Homeless but not hopeless, Saving one life at a time!”

We are a private Wisconsin-based rescue which means all of our dogs are housed in private foster homes. We do not have a central facility that houses dogs. We are a volunteer-based rescue consisting of regular people with full-time jobs and families who have a passion to help unwanted dogs find their forever homes. We feel that there is no age or breed that would not fit in with our TW 911 philosophy. We perform extensive temperament testing and select dogs that would be a great addition to your family. We take careful consideration of placement of our dogs. Our goal is to find a forever home, not just any home.

We are strong proponents of spaying/neutering and heart worm care. All of our dogs receive age-appropriate vaccinations, medical exams, heart worm testing/preventative, flea and tick preventative along with a microchip. Our expectation is for our adopters and volunteers to have the same philosophy.
